Meet Brendan Flanagan

Brendan Flanagan is the founder and principal attorney of Flanagan Law, P.C., an Atlanta personal injury law firm representing injured people and families throughout Georgia.

His practice focuses on serious injury and wrongful death cases: trucking accidents, car wrecks, commercial vehicle and delivery truck crashes, rideshare accidents involving Uber and Lyft, premises liability, electrocution injuries, catastrophic injuries and wrongful death.

Brendan has represented plaintiffs his entire legal career. He earned his law degree at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2013 and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2014. Before founding the firm in 2015, he trained alongside experienced personal injury trial lawyers. He started Flanagan Law with limited resources, a laptop, and a commitment to building cases the right way, one client and one case at a time. He prepares serious cases for trial from the beginning, with a focus on evidence, expert work and jury presentation.

Brendan has taken cases to Georgia juries, from a wrongful death trucking case to smaller injury claims in the state courts.

He served on the plaintiff’s trial team in the Nguyen v. TIAG tractor-trailer wrongful death case. A Fulton County jury returned its verdict on March 20, 2025. The trial ran in two phases, and the second phase dealt with evidence that was lost or destroyed after the crash, which the law calls spoliation. Both sides have appealed to the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and Brendan is listed as counsel on both appeals.

In House v. Seo, a Gwinnett County State Court case, the Daily Report quoted Brendan on how attorney’s fees under Georgia’s offer of settlement statute and prejudgment interest were still adding up when the insurance company settled.

In Edwards v. Higgins, the Court of Appeals of Georgia vacated a fee award in his client’s case on October 31, 2024 and sent it back to the trial court, ruling that fees must reflect the work the lawyers actually did. Read more about the Edwards v. Higgins appeal.

His other state court jury trials include Waters v. Tench in DeKalb County, Parker v. Rabinovich in Fulton County and Coombs v. Payne in Henry County.

On May 1, 2026, Brendan spoke at the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Annual Convention in Atlanta. His session was titled “Writing Demand Letters After the Legislature Took the Fun Out of It.”

He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. He has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2014 and the Atlanta Bar Association since 2015.

Super Lawyers has selected Brendan for its Georgia Rising Stars list every year from 2020 through 2027, eight years in a row. All three TopVerdict.com lists above are for the Nguyen v. TIAG tractor-trailer wrongful death case, and each list names Brendan and Morgan Lyndall among the plaintiff’s counsel.

Brendan grew up in Bradenton, on Florida’s Gulf Coast, in a tight-knit community his family still calls home. He attended Florida State University, moved to Atlanta for law school, and decided to stay. His parents taught him the value of family, community and faith. He lives by those tenets, and he treats his clients the same way: like family.

Brendan lives with his wife, two golden retrievers (Otis and Riley) and two rescue cats (Ruby and Flora). In his spare time he plays golf and tennis. He is an avid snowboarder, a fly fisherman and an Advanced Open Water scuba diver, and he brings the same drive to every case he takes on.
